Miss Samantha Yung

Ms Samantha Yung graduated from The University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor degree in Psychology. She participated in several research projects during her employment at the Department of Psychiatry, HKU, Department of Social Work and Social Administration, HKU, and the Department of Community and Family Medicine, CUHK. Ms Yung completed her master degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Hong Kong, with clinical placements at United Christian Hospital, Kwai Chung Hospital, New Territories East Cluster hospitals, Hong Kong Family Welfare Society and Hong Kong Correctional Services Department.
After Ms Yung graduated from her master degree, she worked for the Department of Health (Elderly Health Services), and United Christian Hospital to offer clinical psychological services to children, adolescents, adults and the elderly .
In the past few years, Ms Yung has been invited by schools and organizations to deliver talks on mental health, emotion management and parenting skills. Ms Yung has also been interviewed by magazines, TV and Radio programmes to promote psychological well-being.

Ms Crystal Wu graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with the Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology and gained her Master Degree in Clinical Psychologist from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. During the study of master degree, Ms Wu completed her Clinical Psychology Trainee Program with placement in Tuen Mun Child Assessment Center, Prince of Wales Hospital, Social Welfare Department, Queen Mary Hospital and the Hong Kong Correctional Services Department. During the placement in those organizations, Ms Wu offer clinical psychological services for adult, youth and child including psychological assessment, counseling and psychotherapy.
Ms Wu has also delivered numbers of talk s and seminars to promote public mental health. Ms Wu also participated in various psychological related research and her work was published in psychological journals:

During the study of master degree, Ms Sze completed her Clinical Psychology Trainee Program with placement s in Pamela Youde Child Assessment Center, Tai Po Hospital, Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, Social Welfare Department, and Caritas Hong Kong.
Upon graduation, Ms. Sze worked for non-governmental organizations to offer clinical psychological services for adult, youth and child including psychological assessment, psychotherapy as well as consultation.

Miss Chiu holds a Master Degree of Psychology (Educational and Development) from Monash University (Australia), a Bachelor degree of Arts (Hons) in Psychology and a Bachelor degree of Social Science (Psychology) from Swinburne University (Australia). During her study, Miss Chiu helped in administering various assessments with children and organizing and providing group intervention for children in Monash Medical Centre (Australia), Department of Human Services - Specialist Children's Services (Victoria, Australia) and Society of Boys’ Centres (Hong Kong). Miss Chiu has rich experience in child assessment and she is interested in child development and concerned with helping children with specific learning difficulties.
Miss Chiu had been working as a Research Assistant I in the University of Hong Kong and helped in conducting an international project related to the integration of IT in education. Miss Chiu has actively participated in voluntary work serving children in need for many years.

Mrs Yeung-Chan Pui Lee

Mrs. Yeung graduated in 1985 from Illinois State University,
where she received her Bachelor & Master Degree of Science in Speech and
Language Pathology. She was concurrently awarded the Certificate of Clinical
Competence (CCC/SPL) by the American Speech - Language Hearing Association
(ASHA) in 1987 and later, the licensed certificate by the British Columbia
Association of Speech & Language Pathologists and Audiologists in 1995.
Mrs. Yeung is a well accomplished speech therapist, with over
twenty years of experience in this field. She had served as a speech therapist
in the Child Assessment Center at the Duchess of Kent Children Hospital, South
Kwai Chung Polyclinic under the previous Hospital and Health Services and as
lecturer and clinical adviser in the Department of Speech and Hearing Science at
the University of Hong Kong.
Mrs. Yeung has been
working seamlessly with WPDI for over ten years. She has accumulated invaluable
knowledge and skill in helping the autistic and developmentally delayed children
in both their speech and language.

Mr Chan is also keen on building family relationships, exploring dynamics of marriage and developing children character. Ms Wong received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She was active in serving the youth and worked as a teacher in secondary school over twenty years. In the meantime, she furthered her studies in psychology, youth counseling and Christian studies. She later earned her Postgraduate Certificate of Education at the Hong Kong University. During her teaching career, she had led the Christian Education Committee and the Civics and Moral Education Committee. She was also a member of the school Guidance Team taking in ‘Understanding Adolescents Projects’ building self-esteem of S1 students and ‘The Rainbow Angels’ which encourage students who lack social skills to join community service. Through these projects, Ms Wong had been able to accompany students in their personal growth. She enjoyed practicing individual counseling, group counseling and experimental form of teaching and learning. In recent years, Ms Wong walked alongside people in crisis and suffering. She made the decision to leave her teaching career and obtained the Master of Counseling Education in the China Graduate School of Theology. As a counselor, she has a genuine concern for the well-being of youth, couples and families. By integrating teaching and counseling skills in the helping profession, she is willing to serve the community so that they may lead a happier life.

Ms Joan Li obtained a Master Degree in Counselling awarded by the University of New England (Australia), and a Honours Diploma in Counselling and Psychology awarded by Hong Kong Shue Yan University. During the studying period, Ms Li practiced as an intern counsellor in different organizations, provided individual counseling, and also conducted counseling groups and programs. Besides, Ms Li actively participated the social services and volunteer counselling services.
Ms Li worked for the Public Policy Research Institute (PolyU), participated in conducting various Public Policy related research studies, assisted the promotion of excellence in public policy. Meanwhile, Ms Li worked as a part-time counsellor, provided different counselling services, including parent-child, emotional, and personal growth counselling.

Ms Carol Fung graduated from the University of Calgary (Canada) with a BA in Psychology (Hons) in 2004. After Ms Fung gained her Bachelor degree, she worked as a research assistant at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, Division of Neurology)and the University of Hong Kong (Department of Psychiatry and Psychology). Ms Fung had previously assisted in carrying out psychosocial intervention groups for gynaecological cancer patients in a hospital setting. Ms Fung also participated in various psychological related research with topics like mental health of adolescents in Hong Kong and self-predictions of health-protective behaviors. Outside of work, Ms. Fung’s volunteer work helps to integrate those afflicted with mental illnesses back into society.
